Nectar

Nectar

Many nights, I take a gummy of CBD/CBN/THC before bed. It inspires a lovely rest, an event that often eludes many of us. My preferred brand is Wyld.

Buying these products in Portland is like meeting your pharmacist at the jewelry store. The glass display cases are artistic and oftentimes gorgeous and well-appointed. The sales people are knowledgeable, eager, and very, very experienced; meaning, they are high right now.

Stormy manages my neighborhood Nectar store. His body is “heroin chic”; his sartorial orientation is Harley Davidson; his facial hair is wise man on the mountain.

Last week, Stormy was out of Wyld but suggested a new brand called Gateway. Rather than chewing sweet elderberry before going to bed, it tasted more like I was chewing your discarded roach.

But the sleep was incredible.

Yesterday, I returned to Nectar to stock up and report back to Stormy.

“How was the Gateway, Man?”

I told Stormy it was…different. Very different.

“Can you explain?”

I told him it was…good…you know, good.

“Describe it,” he pushed.

I said, “Well…uh…if I had to draw a graph, it would show a rapid descent into a much deeper sleep followed by a long, slow, restful rise into morning.”

Stormy was engaged in a project with his THC vape stick and a battery that required reading glasses and most of his attention. But he paused his work, looked up at me over the top of those readers, and said, “Man, you should definitely draw that graph.”
